• The mast will be designed in accordance with SANS 0225.
  • The mast will be manufactured to ISO 9001: 2015.
  • The masts are Hot Dip Galvanized to SANS 121 / SABS 1461.
  • All poles are manufactured from Grade GW355J HT steel and is manufactured in accordance with SANS 657/1&3.
  • All designs, (developed, designed and signed by a registered Professional Engineer) are available on request



  • STADIUM MASTS OR SPORTSFIELD MASTS are designed for ease of maintenance and can have different types of deigns according to budget and application requirements
  • The most common masts would be the tapered masts with a cat ladder and platform to climb up the mast for maintenance of the lights. This will be most common on masts 18m to 30m
  • This application can be varied by mid-hinged masts 12m -15m because of budget restrictions.

  • The masts 15m upwards are usually octagonal in shape continuously tapered and assembled by means of slip joints as per engineers specification with a base plate secured by holding down bolts to the mast foundation.
  • The masts sections are secured into place by means of slip joints.
  • The Headframe is fitted on the top section and secured by means of a slip joint
  • Access is by means of a cat ladder leading to a platform on lighting level where maintenance and service to the lights can be done.
  • The door is secured with a tamper proof screw.
  • Masts 9m to 15m can be mid-hinged to lower the lights as per our mid-hinged masts options. (please refer to our Mid-Hinged options under products for specifications on the Mid-Hinged Masts
  • The door is secured with a tamper proof screw.
  • Electrical distribution board is mounted inside the access door.
  • The trailing cable is plug into the distribution board and is connected to the IP65 splitter box attached to the headframe.
  • Flexible cables are used for the connection between the floodlights and the IP65 splitter box.
